[EVENT](Chicago) Nocturna 18th Anniversary w/ DIARY OF DREAMS !
Greetings!

Well, once again we had a terrific turnout for Nocturna! Thanks to
everyone who came out, made great song requests & danced all night
long. We made the special announcement about the next Nocturna during
the night, but here it is for anyone who missed it:

There will not be a Nocturna held in June, but we'll more than make up
for it with the next one:

This night marks 18 years of Nocturna! Yikes! Time really does fly when you're having fun- and sharing dark music, art & culture with so many in Chicago has indeed been, amongst other things, fun! To thank our friends & patrons, we're going to throw one hell of a party this night! We're opening at 10pm and going strong into the dawn (5am.)

At midnight, one of our favourite goth / darkwave bands ever, Germany's DIARY OF DREAMS will be performing! This will be their first show ever in Chicago (and their only Midwestern date on their US tour!) The music of Diary of Dreams has filled the Nocturna dancefloor for years now with such hits as "O' Brother Sleep", "Butterfly: dance!", "The Curse", "Chemicals", "Panik" and many more. This Nocturna night is also the OFFICIAL (thanks to Live Nation Productions for that!) after show party for the NINE iNCH NAILS/BAUHAUS/PEACHES concert held earlier at the First Midwest Bank Ampitheatre in Tinley Park(formerly Tweeter Center) and you never know which members of those bands may stop by! We've already been informed that if those bands go out clubbing *anywhere* after their show lets out at 11, it will be Nocturna at Metro! (Psst... Additionally, we'll be raffling off some wonderful prizes of new music! Including:

- The absolutely gorgeous debut cd "On:Audio" by Vancouver's Au4. Au4 (pronounced: "oh-four") create sumptuous music that is truly accomplished. Fans of Air, Massive Attack, NIN, Moby & Underworld- just for a start- will fall in love with the down-tempo electronica, which at times recalls the shoegaze sound, of Au4. Nocturna, now in its 18th year, is an 18+ dark alternative dance night held one Saturday per month in Chicago. DJ Scary Lady Sarah spins a highly request-driven mix of current & classic goth, industrial, post-punk, deathrock, ethereal, shoegaze, deathrock, new wave, ebm, darkwave, dark indie & more. It's a lot of fun & you should go! ;)

Now: decide what to wear that is both easy to dance in for 7 hours & looks impressive! ;)
